Tracklist:
01 – 3 Peat (Produced By Cool & Dre)
I guess this is kind of like his intro song for the album. Awesome song to start the album off. He shows of his great flow of lyrics.
Rate: 9/10

02 – Mr. Carter (Produced By Just Blaze)
Nice steady beat to this song. Jay-Z features in this track and tops off the track at the end.
Rate: 9.5/10

03 – A Milli (Produced By Bangladesh)
The constant repeat of the two words said in the background gets very annoying. Its just a constant thing in the song. Maybe because i was focusing too much on it.
Rate: 7/10

04 – Got Money (Produced By Play-n-skillz)
This track features T-Pain. This song is hypeee, its so lively. It makes you want to get up an move to it. One of my favourites on this album. Though T-Pain’s voice gets annoying after a while like most of his songs.
Rate: 9/10

05 – Comfortable (Produced By Kanye West)
This song is fkn awesome. I loveee this song. It features Babyface, this track is mixed with rnb with rap/hiphop styles. This is my favourite track out of all of them. It’s such a good collaboration.
Rate: 10/10

06 – Phone Home (Produced By David Banner)
As the title of this song suggests “Phone Home” it has an alien feel to it. With the music mixed together it is a nice song, but not one of my favourites.
Rate: 7/10

07 – Dr. Carter (Produced By Swizz Beatz)
This song starts low then climaxes, then drops again. Then it repeats again. The tune climaxes, to a peak then drops. Nicely made song. If you listen to the lyrics its just awesome. I don’t know how he thinks of this stuff.
Rate: 8/10

08 – Tie My Hands (Produced By Kanye West)
Robin Thicke features in this album. This is a slow song one of my favourites in this album. Mix between hiphop/rap and rnb styles once again. I love it. In my opinion this is more of a chill song, when you listen to the lyrics it has a lot of meaning. Given the tune of it and the rnb chorus. Great collaboration.
Rate: 9.5/10

09 – Shoot Me Down (Produced By Kanye West)
Hmm.. not really liking this song. It’s okay. Not my style i guess. It is a slow song, With a slow chorus. I don’t know who sings the chorus though.
Rate 7/10

10 – Playin’ With Fire (Produced By Streetrunner)
Some how the beginning of this song makes me think of those “asian” songs with that “asian” kind of music beat. Its an okay song, though dont really like it.
Rate: 7/10

11 – Lollipop (Produced By Jim Jonsin & Deezle)
Static Major is featured in this track. This song was released before the album. Most of you have probably heard this song. It was the featured video on Urbanascor for a week. You can watch the video here: http://www.urbanascor.com/?p=24
Awesome song.
Rate: 9.5/10

12 – La La (Produced By David Banner)
This track features both Brisco and Busta Rhymes. This “la la” part annoys me after a while, just replayed too many times. But great song nonetheless.
Rate: 7/10

13 – Nothin’ On Me (Produced By Alchemist)
Juelz Santana and Fabolous both feature in this track. The start of this song sounded like a battle song. Just the tempo and the tune of it gave me that effect. Not bad song overall, but not something for me.
Rate: 7/10

14 – Let The Beat Build (Produced By Kanye West & Deezle)
Yeah this song isnt really my thing. I cant comment on it.
Rate: 6/10

15 – Mrs. Officer (Produced By Wyclef Jean)
RnB artists Bobby Valentino features in this track.

16 – Misunderstood
This song is nearly 10 minutes long. I guess to finish off his album. I don’t really like this song. The chorus i just don’t like.
Rate: 7/10

02. Gossip (Prod. by StreetRunner)
Nice mid tempo song. Once again, Lil Wayne’s flow is crazyyyy.

03. Kush (Prod. by Maestro)
As the name of this song suggest, this is a song about weed. I guess its a chill song. For all them “kush” smokers you may like this.
Rate: 8/10

04. Love Me Or Hate Me (Prod. by D. Kirkwood)
Another one of my favourites. His flow of his lyrics is awesome. If you don’t get past 0:57 secs you’re missing out. Great song.

Yeah not bad song. I kind of like it. Upbeat tempo with great lyrics.

Usher – Here I Stand [Review]

Posted on : 22-05-2008 | By : Shynobee | In : Albums

Tracklist:
01 – Intro

02 – Love In This Club
This track features Young Jeezy which tops off the song. Released earlier this year hit Number 1 on the Billboard Charts for 13 weeks. With it being the first song to launch off the album “Here I Stand” it proved to be a hit with the audience.
The track has a middle tempo beat with Young Jeezy finishing off the song with his rap piece.
Rate: 9.5/10

03 – This Ain’t Sex
If you like those oldschool beats then this song is for you. Usher brings back the 90’s beats in this song with with the upbeat tempo this song will get you in the mood for anything. I for one love oldschool beats so i probably like this song more than other people might.
Rate: 9/10

04 – Trading Places
Hmm.. this song in my opinion i don’t like, but your views may be different. Something about this song it just isn’t my style.. Which i guess puts me off.
Rate: 6/10

05 – Moving Mountains
If you listen carefully to the lyrics of this song you’ll see that it is a pretty meaningful song with some deep lyrics. I like this song it’s one of my favourites on this album. Though it was leaked earlier in the year there are some few tweaks in this version than what i have heard previously.
Rate: 9.5/10

06 – What’s Your Name
This track features Will.I.Am and it has a fun beat. I don’t really like this song, it does have a nice tune but the lyrics and singing in it, doesn’t really attract me. I only like the chorus in this song. I guess the Will.I.Am verses puts me off.
Rates: 7/10

07 – Prayer For Your Interlude
Just a smooth short slowjam tune.

08 – Something Special
Hmm.. the first Minute or so i don’t really like. There isnt much music at the start or through the whole song.
Rate: 7/10

09 – Love You Gently
In my honest opinion I don’t like this song. It is a slowjam but not my style of slowjams so my view is different from yours.
Rate: 7/10

10 – Best Thing
I originally heard the version of “Best Thing” without Jay-Z and i liked that a lot. This is another oldschool beat song that Usher has in the album. I like the chorus and Usher’s melody line in it, that’s what attracted me to this song and it grew on me. My opinion of this song will obviously be different to your music taste.
Rate: 9/10

11 – Before I Met You
This song is okayish, not really into it nothing “wow” about it not one of the greatest songs on this album. It is a slowjam but not great.
Rate: 7/10

12 – His Mistakes
This track was written by Ne-yo. As all songs previously written by Ne-Yo such as “Mario – Let me Love you” which also proved to be a big hit around the world, “His mistakes” also has strong lyrics as did “Let me Love you”. If you listen carefully to the lyrics some of you may be able to relate to them.
The track is a slowjam. So for all those non-slowjam lovers this song is definitely not for you but you may prove me wrong.
Rate: 9.5/10

13 – Appetite
Another song i dont really like on this album. It just seems to go on and on there is no distinguishing between the chorus and verses tunes to me. So the song just seems to never end.
Rate: 6/10

14 – What’s A Man To Do
The tune of this track caught my attention straight away. The melody line is awesome it is a slowjam but it has a medium beat to go with it. I recommend it to people as one of my favourites on this album.
Rate: 9.5/10

15 – Lifetime
This song has a long intro which kind of bores me. This song isn’t all that great to me as i don’t really like it. The song is just… boring?
Rate: 6/10

16 – Love In This Club [Part II]
This track features both Beyonce and Lil’ Wayne. It is Part II of “Love in this club” as it says in the title. It is much slower than Part I with Young Jeezy, though Lil’ Wayne always makes a song great.
Rate: 8/10

17 – Here I Stand
I’m not really into this song. The tune doesnt attract me which puts me off the song. But if you like slowjams give it a listen and you may like it.
Rate: 6.5/10

18 – Will Work For Love
Ahhh.. This is a nice track. It’s a very nice slowjam, the title says it all. This song has nice lyrics and if you like a nice slowjam then you’ll like this song
Rate: 9/10

Jay Sean – My own way

Posted on : 13-05-2008 | By : Shynobee | In : Albums

4

This is Jay Sean’s second album. As you can see it is title “My own way”. As I have been corrected by “eshan” that Jay Sean has been at it for 4 years now.

He has had his songs leaked over the internet and from the songs that I have heard. I recommend this album to those people who enjoy the rnb/slowjams genre. Jay Sean has a lot to offer and he definitely shows. In my opinion the songs:
- Easy As 1, 2, 3
- Used to Love Her
- Cry

Are hot. there is no other word to describe it. I am a rnb/slowjams kind of person and I enjoyed these songs and still am.

Tracklist:
1. Ride It
2. Maybe (JRemy BobbyBass Album Version)
3. I Won’t Tell
4. Stay
5. Stuck In the Middle (Feat. Jared Cotter)

7. Cry
8. All or Nothing
9. Runaway
10. Waiting
11. Used to Love Her
12. Just a Friend
13. Murder (Feat. Thara Prashad)
